Dealing with a Narcissist – Here’s How to Counter Their Punches and Get Your Life Back on Track

Aren’t narcissists the worst? We often can’t even notice how they systematically ruin our life until it’s too late. These people will never be your best friend, no matter what you think. They’ll eventually show their true colors and hurt you, which is why the sooner you realize their true nature, the better.

Fortunately, there are many blows you can deal to a narcissist that will end up hurting them like hell.

Here are just a few:

Cut Ties As Soon As You Can

Cutting ties with a narcissist will hurt them to the bone. These people will hold you in their grasp until they get what they need. If you cut contact with them before it, they’ll do anything to get you to stay. You’re better off alone, however – if you do go back to them, you’ll literally be at the gates of Hell.

You Can’t Change Them

Trying to make a narcissist change? Are you crazy?! These people can never be changed – the sooner you realize it, the better. They love no one but themselves and you’re not their therapist, so get out of their grasp and stop trying to change them before it’s too late.

You Come First

If you’re in a relationship with a narcissist, don’t forget to put yourself before anyone else. You can help them if they really need help, but be aware that narcissists are always trying to get something from you.

Don’t Show Your Emotions

Showing emotions in front of a narcissist is opening a door to trouble. They’ll feed off them and will use any information against you when they need to get something from you. Before spilling your secrets and revealing your emotions, think twice or you’ll regret it later.

If you’re dealing with a full-blown narcissist and you can’t break free from their toxic grip, run! Run as fast as you can. In this case, they probably need professional therapy, and you’re not a psychologist. Don’t fool yourself that they’re going to change – they will only use you and leave you on the outside in the end.
